Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA) Compliance
Military Status Verification allows clients to take the right steps to be compliant with the Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA). The SCRA protects service members of the United States from judicial proceedings such as garnishments, administrative proceedings such as fines and repricing, and other financial transactions to allow those citizens to devote their energy to the nation’s defense needs.
The Military Status Verification Software uses a first name, last name, and social security number search to identify the debtors’ currently on active duty and notify the client if their debtor qualifies for protection under the SCRA. The software works in accordance with the Department of Defense (DOD) website to provide the most up to date and accurate information for each client.
Benefits:
- Provides a list of debtors who are currently on active duty and are protected by the SCRA, and a list of debtors who are no longer on active duty.
- Determine if an individual is actively serving, received a notice to serve or recently left active duty within 367 days across all branches of the military.

The service delivers a possible twenty-one different coded responses for each debtor making it reliable and easy to follow compliance. The codes determine whether the debtor is on active duty, what branch they reside in, the length of their service, personal information and their current status.
